More rain, especially tonight and tomorrow

A front will linger near the area keeping the chance for a few showers in the forecast for areas arounf Florence to North Myrtle Beach and Southward.  The front will lift northward late today and tonight as an area of low pressure moves  from the Gulf Coast into the Carolinas late tonight into Wednesday late afternoon. Rain chances will increase during this afternoon from South to North and will overspread the area overnight. A soaking rain will be around until the low moves away during tomorrow night. Rainfall totals will range from 1-2 inches over the next 2 days with higher amounts along the Southern portion of the area and lesser amounts north.. Dry weather returns through Friday. Another cold front pushes in this weekend bringing a shot of cold air that will be felt Sunday. The front will come through dry with just some extra clouds late Saturday. Runners in the Myrtle Beach Marathon should stay with plenty of sunshine.

Today: Mostly cloudy, mild with the chance for showers, especially South. Rain moves in late. Highs: Around 60°.

Tonight: Soaking rain moves in otherwise cloudy and cool. Lows: Grand Strand: Around 50°, Inland: Mid/Upper 40s.

Wednesday: Periods of rain, cloudy, mild, and breezy.  Highs: Upper 50s/Low 60s.
