According to the Mullins Fire and Rescue, all four lanes of Hwy 76 are closed from Millers Rd to Bargain Building Supplies due to downed utility lines.

This is reason for power outage affecting Mullins area.

Progress Energy is reporting nearly 700 customers have been affected by the outages.

Mullins Fire and Rescue is asking everyone to use alternate routes.

Crews expect power to be restored shortly, however Hwy 76 will be closed longer as utility crews replace the lines.
