High pressure north of the area today will gradually build off of the East Coast through the week. This will bring more sunshine today, but an unseasonably cool and breezy forecast. A weak coastal trough will develop through the rest of the week. This will keep more clouds around, but with a southerly flow taking shape around the high pressure pushing offshore, temps will be in the rise. A cold front will approach the Carolinas Friday to increase the cloud cover and bring in a chance for rain Friday night into early Saturday. Behind the front, a shot of cooler air will move in over the weekend.
