A man was shot in Hamlet, North Carolina Monday and the suspect is being questioned in Cheraw, according to Chief Griffin with the Hamlet Police Department.
Police were dispatched to Henderson Street in Hamlet around 3:50 p.m. for a shooting.
A man was shot at an apartment complex and taken to Sand Hill Regional Medical Center in Hamlet, according to Griffin.
His condition is unknown.
The Cheraw Police Department picked up a few witnesses and a person of interest in the shooting, according to the Cheraw Police Chief.
Hamlet detectives are interviewing those people in Cheraw.
Police say no charges have been filed as of now.
