Former detention officer arrested for criminal domestic violence

Conway, SC - Ronald Jacobs, a former employee of J. Reuben Long Detention Center in Horry County, was released on bond Saturday after being arrested this week.

Jacobs was taken into police custody on February 16. He's being charged with Criminal Domestic Violence of a High and Aggravated Nature for an incident that occurred on February 10, 2013, according to Horry County Police Spokeswoman Lisa Bourcier.

Horry County Magistrate Chris Arakas set at bond at $50,000, with GPS monitoring.

Jacobs was employed as a officer at the detention center from May of 1999 until his arrest.
