Myrtle Beach police are investigating an assault where six people carrying guns and knives forced their way into a home and jumped a 32-year-old man.

Around 3 p.m. Friday, officers responded to a disturbance in an apartment complex on Century Street.

The victims told police one of the suspects knocked on the door, and when they opened the door, the other suspects pushed their way inside.

When the 32-year-old victim tried to defend the other victims, the suspects then began assaulting the man and one suspect punched a juvenile girl, according to the report.

A victim told police a female suspect had a knife in her hand.

Another victim told police the suspects came in with knives and guns and were hitting the children in the home.

One of the victims told police the incident happened because she'd seen another victim and one of the suspects at a hotel together.

Police have identified Selina La`shon Johnson, 33, as one of the suspects.

The other suspects are not known at this time.
