Two teenagers are being charged for fighting on a school bus about 7:30 a.m. Wednesday.
Loggan Taylor Courtney, 17, of Little River is being charged with Disturbing Schools and Assault and Battery in the 3rd degree.
A 14-year-old boy from Myrtle Beach is facing the same charges.
Horry County Police were called to the front of Carolina Forest Elementary School where the bus pulled over.
The driver told officers that she heard Courtney threatening the 14-year-old, saying he had a knife in his pocket and would cut his throat if he didn't leave him alone.
Other students on the bus said the fight started when the 14-year-old got on the bus. They said Courtney was already seated where the other boy usually sits, according to the police report.
The boy asked Courtney to move over and when he wouldn't, the boy punched Courtney.
The two were separated. But at the next stop, the driver said the boy went to the back of the bus and started fighting with Courtney again.
That's when Courtney made the threat.
Courtney was taken into custody, and police searched him and the bus, but did not find a weapon.
Courtney admitted he never had a knife. He is being held without bond in J. Reuben Long Detention Center.
Police said the 14-year-old is being charged because he was considered to be the primary aggressor. He was released to his parents.
