Myrtle Beach police arrested a 15-year-old boy for making a bomb threat at Myrtle Beach High School.

At 2:06 p.m. Wednesday, a note was found in a bathroom saying a bomb was going to go off, according to Captain David Knipes with Myrtle Beach police.

Students were evacuated outside while officers swept the school, Teal Britton with Horry County Schools said.

Around 2:30, the school was cleared and students returned to class.

Police charged the boy with Conveying False Information Regarding the Attempted Use of a Destructive Device.

He is currently Myrtle Beach jail.
