A large industrial spool of copper wire estimated at $65,000 was stolen from Nucor Steel between 1 and 3 a.m. Sunday, according to Andy Locklair with the Darlington County Sheriff's Office.

The copper has a reddish, purple coating and is 3 inches in diameter.

Police believe they have four male suspects after reviewing survelience video.

The suspects loaded the wire with a forklift onto a utility trailer and drove away, said Locklair.
