Police have arrested a man who's accused of molesting a young girl from 2005 to 2010.
Last month, North Myrtle Beach police received a call from the victim's father saying Robert Abercrombie Jr., 54, of North Myrtle Beach touched her private parts.
The victim told her father Abercrombie molested her several times from the time she was 12 to 16-years-old.
Through a text message, the victim told her father she was scared to tell anyone about the incident until now, and she wanted to come forward, the report says.
Police charged Abercrombie with Criminal Sexual Conduct of a Minor 11-14 years of age 2nd Degree.
The victim recently moved away from home to get away from Abercrombie, according to police.
Abercrombie attempted to contact the victim by trying to get her new phone number and new location, the report says.
