The Marlboro County Sheriff's Office needs your help to find the man in the above sketch who was involved in a home invasion that occurred around 8 p.m. Tuesday in Bennettsville.

The victim reported that she was inside her home on Dundee Drive in an upstairs bedroom and heard a noise in an adjacent room.

The victim then checked to see what the noise was and was surprised to find a man inside the home. Police say he assaulted the victim, and she received minor injuries in the attack.

The man was armed with a knife and took jewelry and cash from the home. The victim's other family members were on the front porch at the time, and one of them came upstairs and surprised the suspect.

Investigators believe the suspect put a trash can on the AC unit beside the house to get into the upstairs window.

He was able to make his way down the stairs and ran out the front door and down the street.

A State Law Enforcement Division forensic artist has provided a composite drawing of the suspect from information gained from witnesses. The description also includes that the suspect may be African American or Native American or bi-racial.

The suspect is about. 5'9" and 140-150 lbs. and appeared to be 17-20 years old. He had on jeans and a dark colored hooded sweatshirt or jacket and a white t-shirt around his head or face.

The Sheriff's Office is offering a reward in connection to the arrest and conviction of this suspect and asking all residents, especially those in the neighborhoods near the crime scene to be extra cautious.
