South Carolina Highway Patrol charged a Surfside Beach woman with felony DUI and Leaving the Scene, after a collision early Saturday morning.

Michele Osborne, 41, was heading north on Highway 17 near Surfside Beach around 2 a.m. when her car struck a man on a bicycle, according to Lance Cpl. Judd Jones.

The man was taken to Grand Strand Regional Medical Center with serious injuries.

Officers arrested Osborne at a gas station after they found damage on her car, said Jones.
