While temps will be down a few degrees from yesterday, it will still be hot and humid. High temps will hit the low 90s by the Beaches and mid 90s Inland with the heat index(or "feels like" temperature) peaking over 100°. Take necessary precautions to stay cool and hydrated, keep an eye on your neighbors, and make sure you pets have a way to stay cool and hydrated as well! With a front draped across the Carolinas today, the chance for showers and storms will be around through the afternoon and evening. Strong, damaging wind gusts would be the main threat. Even though today will be hot, more heat will spread across the East for Thurday and Friday. Mid to upper 90s are expected with the heat index ranging from 105-110. Heat advisories will most likely be issued. The chance for storms will remain isolated.
