Unsettled weather remains in the forecast as a cold front to our West approaches and our area remains in a very tropical atmosphere. The chance for rain, coming in heavy at times, and very muggy conditions are expected again. With slower moving or training storms, rainfall amounts can exceed 2 inches locally over a short time. This will increase the risk for localized flooding and ponding on roadways. Avoid flooded roads and find an alternate route. Once the front is off of the coast, a ridge of high pressure is expected to move in and remain in control across the East heading into the weekend leaving us with dry weather, lower humidity levels and more sunshine.
