LITCHFIELD -- All lanes of Highway 17 in Litchfield are back open after a tree fell on a woman's SUV as she was driving 40 miles an hour.

The accident happened around 8 a.m. Friday in the far northbound lane. The woman told us she screamed as the tree hit the car and managed to keep driving out from underneath it as it crashed onto the highway. Traffic was heavy at the time, but no other cars were involved in the accident.

The woman said she was OK, just a scrape or two from glass that shattered. Both her windshield and her sun roof were damaged. Leaves and dirt fell into the car.

Midway Fire and Highway Patrol responded to the scene.
