Your First Alert Team is expecting the swells from Hurricane Bill to reach the coast overnight and peak on Saturday.
The National Weather service has issued a high surf advisory from midnight Friday through Sunday morning at 8am.
Off shore waves beyond ten miles will build to 5 to 10 feet, while waves on the beach will break between 3 and 6 feet resulting in a high risk of deadly rip currents.
Additionally, the combination of Bill's swells and a new moon may produce shallow coastal flooding at the time of high tide, which will be Saturday at 9:34am and 9:48pm and Sunday at 10:26am and 10:38pm.
