Thursday, May 26, 2011  Self-proclaimed 'presidential candidate' Robert Haines, 64, was arrested several blocks from the State House Wednesday afternoon and charged with disorderly conduct and trespassing.

Tuesday, March 22, 2011  The suspended mayor of Atlantic Beach has been cleared of a drunk driving charge. Toxicology tests for Retha Pierce came back negative for alcohol or other drugs, so the Marion County solicitor's office dropped the charge.

Sunday, November 15, 2009  Several charges have been dropped against Atlantic Beach Mayor Retha Pierce, but she remains suspended from office.
