A man is dead after being thrown from his tractor Saturday night, according to the Berkley County Coroner.

On Saturday around 11:30 p.m., Richard Murray, 41, of Moncks Corner was driving his tractor when he lost control, said Coroner Salisbury.

Murray and the tractor went into a farm pond. Murray was ejected from the tractor before it went into the water, said Salisbury.

Murray was found a half hour later by friends. He was pronounced dead at the scene, said Salisbury.

Murray died of head trauma.
