The Aynor 11 and 12 year old all stars finished runner up in the Dixie Youth World Series Majors tournament in Bartow, Florida.  Bushnell, Florida beat Aynor 8-2 in the championship game.  Aynor trailed the Florida squad 3-2 in the sixth before Bushnell had a five run frame to put the game away.

  Earlier in the day, Aynor scored a 4-3 win over North Carolina's state champion to reach the championship game.  Aynor won the state championship for the first time ever to represent the Palmetto State in the Dixie Youth World Series.  Fans who did not make the trip to Florida gathered to watch an internet broadcast of the game on a big screen at the town park.
