Former Wilson High star quarterback Darian Durant completed 21 of 30 passes for 203 yards on Sunday to lead the Saskatchewan Roughriders to a 17-1 victory over the Edmonton Eskimos. Saskatchewan improved to a record of 2-0 in the Canadian Football League.

Durant owns nearly every North Carolina Tar Heels passing record. He was signed by the Roughriders as a free agent in 2006 and has been with the squad ever since.

Durant, 29, has thrown for 15, 272 career yards with 78 touchdown passes in the CFL. His younger brother, Justin, plays linebacker for the Detroit Lions in the National Football League.

The 5'11" Durant was an undrafted free agent of the Baltimore Ravens in 2005. He played on the practice squad but was later cut because of size concerns.

In the CFL, Durant has flourished. He has played for one Grey Cup Champion and was named a CFL West All-Star in 2009. His 2012 salary is $300,000.
