Tiger Woods missed the cut. So did Phil Mickelson. But Dustin Johnson played to the finish at the PGA Tour's Greenbrier Classic in White Sulpher Springs, West Virginia on Sunday. Johnson finished the tournament 6-under par and tied for 33rd place.

Johnson, a former Coastal Carolina All-American, shot rounds of 71, 67, 68 and 68 and earned a check for $32,940. Bishopville's Tommy "Two Gloves" Gainey ended up 3-over par and earned $12,078 for finishing in 72nd place.

Rookie Ted Potter, Jr. won the Greenbreir Classic in a three hole sudden death playoff against Troy Kelly. It was Potter's first tour victory.

On the LPGA Tour, Kristy McPherson made the weekend field at the Women's U.S. Open at Blackwolf Run in Kohler, Wisconsin. The former Conway Tiger and South Carolina Gamecocks star finished 18-over par and ended up tied for 60th place. McPherson took home a check for $8,267.

South Korean Na Yeon Choi won the U.S. Women's Open by four shots. At 7-under par, Choi breezed to her first major championship at the age of 24.
