The 9th ranked South Carolina Gamecocks came from three runs down to beat the Mississippi State Bulldogs 7-6 before a crowd of 8,105 at Carolina Stadium in Columbia, South Carolina. Sean Sullivan ripped a two-run triple to tie the game. Then, Tanner English out of St. James High struck out, but reached first when the ball got away from the catcher, Sullivan raced home on the wild pitch with what proved to be the game-winner. The Gamecocks overall record is now 25-10, 6-7 in the SEC.

The Clemson Tigers beat the N.C. State Wolfpack 7-6 in twelve innings at Doug Kingsmore Stadium in Clemson, South Carolina. Thomas Brittle singled home Tyler Slaton in the bottom of the 12th for a walk-off win for the Tigers. Clemson improved to an overall record of 20-15, 9-7 in the ACC.

The Coastal Carolina Chanticleers defeated the VMI Keydets 3-2 before a crowd of 476 fans at Watson Stadium in Conway, South Carolina. CCU built a 3-0 lead on an RBI single by Daniel Bowman. That proved to be the difference. Bowman is now the all-time RBI leader in Coastal Carolina history. It was the 187th run batted-in for the senior outfielder who broke the old mark held by former Johnsonville High star Brandon Powell.
