David Prince has been officially named as the new head football coach at South Florence High. Prince replaces Lynn Fleming who took the head football coaching position at Chesnee last month.

Prince has been with the Bruins program on and off for a total of 14 seasons. He coached under Athletics Director Mike Watts and former South Florence head coaches Ken Cribb and Lynn Fleming.

He most recently served as South Florence defensive coordinator and strength coach under Fleming. Three players off Prince's defenses, Jordan Lester, Shannon Rodgers and Mason Edwards were selected to WPDE's All-Zone football team the past two seasons. The Florence District One School Board approved Prince's appointment earlier this week.
