Coastal Carolina defensive back Josh Norman became the second Chanticleer to run drills at the NFL Scouting Combine, an invitation only workout in Indianapolis featuring the top pro prospects in the upcoming NFL Draft.  Norman's best performance came in the broad jump, where his leap of 10 feet, 4 inches was the fifth best among defensive backs.  Norman ran two 40 yard dashes clocking unofficial times of 4.56 and 4.57, but NFL.com has his official time as 4.66.

Norman has seen his draft stock on the rise since an outstanding performance at the East-West Shrine All-Star game.  It was believed that if Josh could have run under 4.5 in the 40 at the NFL Combine, he would climb high on NFL team's draft boards.  Despite the 4.66 time, Norman is a virtual lock to become the third Coastal Carolina football player to hear his name called in the NFL Draft.

Norman will have an opportunity to improve his workout numbers at Coastal Carolina's Pro Day in March.
