Myrtle Beach resident Amber Campbell set a new championship record in the women's 20 pound weight throw at the USA Indoor Track and Field Championships in Albuquerque, New Mexico on Saturday.

Campbell shattered her old record with a toss of 24.78 meters. The former Coastal Carolina all-american and 2008 US Olympian has won six consecutive USA indoor titles.

Campbell, who throws for Sports Doctors of Myrlte Beach and Nike, is leading the Visa series after winning her event at the USA Indoor Track and Field Championships.
