Former CCU assistant named PC defensive coordinator

  It was a pretty special 24 hours for the Watson family.  On Wednesday, Conway wide receiver Cole Watson signed a national letter of intent to play college football at Newberry.  On Thursday, Cole's father, Drew Watson, was named the defensive coordinator at Presbyterian College.  Watson spent nine years on David Bennett's staff at Coastal Carolina.  Three former CCU assistants have found new positions and former coach David Bennett continues to work the phones to try and get all of his staff new positions.  Maurice Drayton jumped up to Division I-A when he joined Ellis Johnson's staff at Southern Miss.  Curtis Walker, the former CCU defensive coordinator, was hired as linebackers coach at Western Carolina and is now expected to get the defensive coordinator position.  Offensive line coach Pat Covington will be the only Bennett assistant to remain on Joe Moglia's staff at Coastal.
