#1 North Carolina eliminates CCU at NCAA Soccer Tournament

The top ranked North Carolina Tar Heels defeated the  11th ranked Coastal Carolina Chanticleers 3-2 in the second round of the NCAA Men's Soccer Championship at Fetzer Field in Chapel Hill, North Carolina.

The nation's leading scorer, Ashton Bennett, gave CCU a 1-0 halftime lead. The Tar Heels tied it up quickly in the second half. Coastal answered with a TeeJay East goal at the 51 minute mark to re-take the lead at 2-1.

North Carolina scored the final two goals of the contest. Kirk Urso at the 51 minute mark and then Enzo Martinez with the game winner at the 68 minute mark. CCU's Ricky Garbanzo's shot on goal with under two minutes left was turned away. The Heels outshot CCU 22-17 on the night.

Coastal's season comes to an end. The Chants finished the year with a record of 18-4. North Carolina advances to the third round against the Indiana Hoosiers next Sunday, November 27.
