The Coastal Carolina football team did not play over the weekend, but made some headlines on Monday when they received a national ranking.  Coastal Carolina moved into the FCS Coaches Poll with a #24 ranking.  Coastal is 3-1 in 2011 with its only loss coming to SEC power Georgia.

You have to go back to the 2006 season to find the last time CCU had a national ranking.  Coastal finished the year 14th in the SportsNetwork 2006 final rankings.  Coastal takes on the VMI Keydets this Saturday night at 7pm at Brooks Stadium.  WPDE Sports is your home for the David Bennett Show - watch it this Sunday at 12 noon.
