College Football: Clemson 35 Florida State 30

Clemson quarterback Tajh Boyd accounted for four touchdowns as the #21 Tigers opened ACC play with a 35-30 win over #11 Florida State on Saturday at Clemson. The Tigers record improves to 4-0 for the first time since the 2007 season.

Boyd threw for 344 yards and 3 TD's and ran for another score. He completed 23 of 37 passes against the Seminoles. Freshman wide receiver Sammy Watkins caught eight passes for 141 yards and two scores.  

Cheraw native Jaron Brown of Clemson caught one pass for 13 yards. On defense, Jonathan Willard from Loris had 3 tackles. Quandon Christian from Lake View and Malliciah Goodman out of West Florence had two stops apiece. Christian also had an interception. And punter Spencer Benton out of Myrtle Beach High punted twice and made a tackle.

Clemson hits the road for the first time this season with a trip to Blacksburg, Virginia to play Virginia Tech on Saturday, October 1. Kickoff is set for 6 p.m.
