Former Coastal Carolina running back Mike Tolbert scored three touchdowns for the San Diego Chargers in a 24-17 win over the Minnesota Vikings on Sunday. Tolbert led the Chargers with nine catches for 58 yards and two scores. Big Mike ran the ball 12 times for 35 yards and another TD.

Pittsburgh Steelers linebacker Lawrence Timmons out of Wilson High led his team with 12 tackles in a 35-7 loss to the Baltimore Ravens. Timmons was WPDE NewsChannel 15's 2003 Zoneman winner.

Another ex-Wilson High star, Justin Durant, made four stops including two tackles for loss for the Detroit Lions in a 27-20 victory over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Atlanta Falcons defensive end John Abraham, a product of Lamar High, made four tackles including two sacks and batted a pass to teammate Kroy Biermann who ran the interception back 50 yards for a TD. But the Falcons lost 30-12 to the Chicago Bears.

Coastal Carolina's all-time leading receiver, Jerome Simpson of the Cincinnati Bengals, made four catches for 44 yards in a 27-17 win over the Cleveland Browns. Teammate Robert Geathers, Jr. from Carvers Bay High had one tackle for the Bengals.
