Florence Maple Park lost 9-5 to Texarkana, Arkansas at the Dixie Youth Majors (11-12) World Series in Carthage, North Carolina on Tuesday. Maple Park finished with a record of 2-2 at the World Series.

Maple Park got off to a great start against Arkansas, scoring three runs in the first inning. Benj Jones led Maple Park with two RBI. But Arkansas rallied for seven runs in the fifth inning to eliminate Maple Park 9-5.
