Coastal Carolina has added its third signee to the 2011 basketball class with the addition of 6'2" shooting guard Warren Gillis. Gillis played at Rise Academy, a prep school in Philadelphia. “We are excited to have Warren in our program because he has the ability to do something special,” coach Cliff Ellis said in a press release. “He can score and defend and has the ability to play both guard positions.” Gillis went from averaging 9 points a game in his senior year of high school to nearly 25 points a game at Rise Academy, which played a national high profile prep school schedule. Gillis picked up numerous offers and ultimately chose the Chanticleers over Southern Mississippi and Xavier.
