Being named the head coach of the South Carolina Shrine Bowl team is a great honor for a high school football coach. In recent years, Johnsonville's Lewis Lineberger, Timmonsville's Bill Tate and Lake View's Jewell McLaurin received the honor. Now another local coaching legend gets the nod.

Conway's Chuck Jordan will lead the Palmetto state's best against North Carolina on December 17th in Spartanburg. Jordan has been the head man with the Tigers for the past 28 seasons. Among the assistants on Jordan's staff are Cheraw's Johnny White and former South Florence coach Ken Cribb.
