The nation's top 90 high school football players have been named for this year's US Army All-American Bowl. One of them is a WPDE All Zone selection.

Linebacker Lateek Townsend from Marlboro County will play in the prestigious game on January 8th at the Alamo Dome in San Antonio, Texas. Townsend led the Bulldogs with more than 140 tackles this season and four sacks. He's the second Marlboro County player in history to be picked for the US Army All-American Bowl joining former Zoneman winner Tymere Zimmerman.

Townsend has narrowed down his college choices to five: South Carolina, Clemson, LSU, Florida and Southern Cal.  His most recent official visit was to Columbia to see the Gamecocks play Arkansas.  Townsend says he may make his announcement on national TV during the US Army game, but he hasn't ruled out waiting until Signing Day to make his official choice.
