COASTAL CAROLINA 7 VMI 0

Coastal Carolina won its 15th straight game with a 7-0 win at VMI on Friday. CCU pitcher Anthony Meo struck out nine improving his record to 8-1. Taylor Motter and Rico Noel each drove in a pair of runs. The Chanticleers are 34-5 overall and 12-0 in the Big South Conference.

SOUTH CAROLINA 11 GEORGIA 4

The South Carolina Gamecocks won the opening game of a three-game series against the Georgia Bulldogs in Athens on Friday night. South Carolina pitcher Blake Cooper struck out nine Bulldogs to improve his record to 8-0. Whit Merrifield and Adam Matthews homered in the Gamecocks win. South Carolina improves to 30-8 overall and 12-4 in the SEC.

NORTH CAROLINA 5 CLEMSON 3

The North Carolina Tar Heels junior right-hander Matt Harvey struck out 15 Tigers on the way to a 5-3 win at Clemson on Friday before 5,391 fans at Doug Kingsmore Stadium. Levi Michael went 3-for-4 at the plate with a homer, double and four RBI. Clemson's record drops to 24-15 overall and 10-9 in the ACC.
