SAN DIEGO 2 COASTAL CAROLINA 1

The San Diego Toreros scored the game-winning run in the ninth inning to top 10th ranked Coastal Carolina 2-1 on Sunday. Adam Rice drove in Rico Noel for the Chanticleers only run of the game. San Diego rallied to tie it in the fifth inning on a Scott Woodward throwing error. In the ninth, Austin Green singled to left to bring home Mike Ferraro for what proved to be a 2-1 game clincher. San Diego won two out of three games in the series to improve to a record of 14-11. Coastal Carolina falls to a record of 19-5. The Chants will resume play with a game at Clemson Wednesday night at 6:30 p.m. at Doug Kingsmore Stadium.

AUBURN 10 SOUTH CAROLINA 6

The Auburn Tigers salvaged one out of three games this weekend by beating the South Carolina 10-6 on Sunday, ending the Gamecocks 13 game win streak. Auburn was led by Brian Fletcher, Creede Simpson, Justin Hargett and Justin Bryant with two RBI each. South Carolina star Parker Bangs drove in three runs in a losing effort. South Carolina falls to a record of 19-5 overall and 5-1 in the SEC. The Gamecocks return home to host The Citadel on Tuesday night at Carolina Stadium in Columbia with the first pitch scheduled for 7 p.m.
