(AP) -- CLEMSON, S.C. (AP) - Clemson backup quarterback Willy Korn says he is transferring to Marshall to continue his football career after he graduates. Korn, who announced his intentions on Thursday, came to the Tigers in 2007 as one of the country's top recruits. Fans expected the former Byrnes High School star to lead the team to several championships. However, Korn's time with the Tigers was marked by injuries. He hurt his arm in his lone start at Clemson in 2008 against Georgia Tech. Korn needed surgery and struggled with his mechanics and arm strength during spring practice last year. He was beaten out by freshman Kyle Parker this past summer and, as backup, played in just six games. Korn said in December he would leave the Tigers and play elsewhere.
