The 12th ranked South Carolina Gamecocks defeated the Arkansas Razorbacks 38-20 at Williams-Brice Stadium in Columbia on Saturday.

South Carolina junior quarterback Connor Shaw completed 15 of 23 passes for 279 yards. He threw two TD passes and ran for another.

South Carolina's offense rolled up 383 yards, and their defense forced three turnovers.

The Gamecocks busted the game open with a 17 point third quarter. D.J. Swearinger returned an interception 69 yards for a touchdown, and led the South Carolina defense with 13 tackles. Teammate Victor Hampton, who played at Darlington High, made two tackles.

The Gamecocks win over the Razorbacks ended a three game losing streak in the head-to-head series between the schools for South Carolina. South Carolina's overall record is 8-2, 6-2 in the SEC.

South Carolina will host the Wofford Terrriers next Saturday, November 17 in Columbia. The Gamecocks will finish the regular season schedule at Clemson on November 24.
