Myrtle Beach High standout Everett Golson led Notre Dame from 14 points down in the fourth quarter, and scored the game-winning touchdown in triple-overtime, as the #4 Fighting Irish beat the Pittsburgh Panthers 29-26 in South Bend, Indiana on Saturday.

Golson completed 23 of 42 passes for 227 yards and two touchdowns. He rallied the Irish by throwing two fourth quarter TD passes, and scored on a two-point conversion to send the game to overtime.

Pitt missed a field goal that would have won the game in overtime. In the third extra period, Golson scored on a quarterback sneak to end the game and help improve Notre Dame's record to 9-0. Pitt fell to 4-5.

Golson, a two-time WPDE Zoneman Trophy winner, had 15 carries for 74 yards with one TD.

Pittsburgh's Ray Graham ran for 172 yards in the loss.
