Everett Golson scored the game-winning TD in Notre Dame's win at Oklahoma.
Everett Golson led 5th ranked Notre Dame to a 30-13 win over the 8th ranked Oklahoma Sooners in Norman, Oklahoma on Saturday night. Golson scored the go-ahead TD with 5:05 to play for the Fighting Irish.
Golson's TD run was set up by a 50-yard pass to Chris Brown, another freshman, from Hanahan, South Carolina.
On Golson's performance, Notre Dame head coach Brian Kelly said, "Just managing our offense, making the plays when he needed to make them. There's still a lot of growth there for him, but communicated well. Again, just a freshman who hooked up with a freshman late in the game that gave us a big spark."
Golson completed 13 of 25 passes for 177 yards and no interceptions. He ran the ball 11 times for 64 yards and a score.
Notre Dame has now beaten Oklahoma nine times in ten lifetime meetings. The Irish are now 8-0 after scoring 20 fourth quarter points against the Sooners.
