Gamecocks up, Clemson down in latest polls

Gamecocks #6, Clemson #17 in latest AP Poll

The South Carolina Gamecocks have moved to 6th in both the AP and Coaches polls, released on Sunday, September 23. The Gamecocks beat the Missouri Tigers 31-10 on Saturday to improve to a record of 4-0. The Clemson Tigers fell seven spots in the AP to #17, and seven places in the Coaches Poll to #16, following a 49-37 loss at Florida State on Saturday night. Clemson has a 3-1 record. The Alabama Crimson Tide is a consensus number one in both major polls. AP Top 25
