North Myrtle Beach's Ryan Quigley was waived by the Chicago Bears on Monday after the return of starting punter Adam Podlesh. Quigley, an undrafted free agent out of Boston College, made the Bears 53 man roster after a strong showing in the Bears final two preseason games. Podlesh suffered a hip flexor injury in the Bears second preseason game. Quigley made the 53 man roster as an insurance policy in case Podlesh wasn't ready for the Bears opener, but Quigley was inactive for the Bears opening week victory over Indianapolis and was released on Monday.
"So thankful for the opportunity with the Bears!," Quigley said on his Twitter account. "Great organization with even better people. Never forget my time here. Beat Green Bay!"
