Hags Thoughts

Conway High will have one of it's strongest teams in recent years with eight starters back on offense and six on defense. QB Mykal Moody must stay healthy. The Tigers are not a one man team. Two-way star WR-DB Malcolm Green will be a key component on an offense that averaged more than 30 points a game last season. Head Coach Chuck Jordan, entering his 30th season, says Conway's defensive line is the deepest part of the team anchored by top returning tackler Tre Longs.

Rich's Thoughts

I think that Green is going to have huge numbers. Last year Coach Jordan had him in the secondary for almost the entire regular season and then wheeled him out at wideout during key region games. Jordan loves to do this - I remember when Allen Patrick all of the sudden became a running back in week 8 or 9 back in the day. I'm also hearing rumblings that we may see Mykal Moody at slot receiver at some point. Once again, this follows the Jordan formula. One day in the middle of the season, you're going to see a curve ball. I'm curious to see if he'll play QB or WR at the next level. He's a great kid, mature for his age and I just love the way he conducts himself. No matter what, he'll be a great representative of the Conway community for many years to come.
