Two time Olympian Amber Campbell returned to Myrtle Beach International Airport to a warm welcome from family and friends.  Campbell won the US Olympic trials in the hammer throw to become the first US track athlete to make the Olympic games.  Campbell found herself in 4th place in the fifth of six rounds when she made her winning throw.  Campbell finished 21st at the Beijing Olympics, failing to reacht the finals. 

The 2012 Olympic games opening ceremony is July 27th in London.  Amber will compete in the women's hammer throw qualifying round on August 8th.  The women's hammer throw finals is set for August 10th.

Campbell will provide a daily video blog of her Olympic experience for WPDE viewers and right here on CarolinaLive.
