Jerome Simpson found a new NFL home on the same day he was disciplined by the league. After receiving a three game suspension by the NFL for his arrest on a marijuana charge, Simpson signed a one year contract with the Minnesota Vikings. Simpson has served a 15 day jail sentence and is on three years probation for his charge of marijuana trafficking.

Despite his legal woes, Simpson was courted by multiple teams. The Saint Louis Rams and the Vikings had him in for visits. Jerome visited Minnesota after his release from jail and spent the weekend there.
Simpson was a second round draft pick of the Cincinnati Bengals in 2007. The former Coastal Carolina wide receiver spent four years in Cincinnati spending most of his first three years on the bench before seeing regular playing time in 2011. Simpson had 50 catches for 725 yards and 4 TD's most notably the Christmas Eve front flip score against the Arizona Cardinals.
