Head coach Chris Beard has guided the SC Warriors to a 26-0 record.
The South Carolina Warriors semi-pro basketball team beat the Lynchburg Legends 117-90 in a second round ABA Playoff game at the Carolina Forest Recreation Center on Sunday night.
Marquise Gainous led the Warriors with 30 points and 15 rebounds in just 27 minutes of playing time. South Carolina used a suffocating defense and sharp shooting to get out to a 64-22 halftime lead.
Local stars had a big impact for the Warriors. Former Coastal Carolina star Jo Harris tallied 14 points with seven rebounds. Socastee High product Josh Fowler and Georgetown grad Brendon Knox combined to score 10 points.
The Warriors now have a 26-0 record. They will host a third round game next weekend. Opponent, time and date of the contest will be determined on Monday.
