The Myrtle Beach Seahawks boys won the Panther Classic high school basketball tournament on Friday night at Carolina Forest. The Seahawks beat Forsyth Country Day 57-51. Eric Goings scored 15 to lead Myrtle Beach. T.J. Jones added 13.
The Carvers Bay boys beat Waccamaw 61-49 in a consolation game at the Panther Classic.
At the Shootout by the Sea tournament at North Myrtle Beach High in Little River, the North Myrtle Beach Chiefs boys beat Summerville 62-54. Juquan Grissett led the Chiefs with 25 points.
Also at Shootout by the Sea, Woodmont beat Scotland County 72-65 in overtime.
In the girls bracket at the Shootout by the Sea tournament, North Myrtle Beach defeated Clover 49-37. WPDE All-Hoop Zone selection Taylor Allman scored 22 for the Lady Chiefs.
