Lake City native ready to close out stellar hoops career

  Lake City native Nancy Wilson is getting ready for her final season as a women's basketball head coach.  Wilson enters the 2011-12 season with 535 career wins.  The Coker College graduate had 231 wins in 14 seasons at the University of South Carolina helping the Lady Gamecocks make the transition to play in the SEC.  She is now in her second stint at the College of Charleston winning 304 games over 15 seasons.  Wilson is one of 24 Division I women's coaches with 500 or more wins. 

Charleston Post and Courier: Wilson to step down after season 

  The UConn Lady Huskies will come to Charleston on December 21st as one of the highlights of Wilson's last season.  She plans to retire to her family home in Surfside Beach.
