Bishopville, South Carolina native Tommy "Two Gloves" Gainey is tied for the lead after round one at the Wyndham Championship in Greensboro, North Carolina. Gainey and Jeff Quinney each shot 7-under par 63 on Thursday.

Gainey carded five birdies and an eagle to tie his career low round. Both Gainey and Quinney have never won a PGA Tour event.

Former Coastal Carolina University golfer Tom Gillis and Bill Haas from Greer, South Carolina both shot 2-under par 68's. Ex-Clemson golfers Lucas Glover at even par and D.J. Trahan at 4-over par are also playing at this week's PGA Tour stop.
