The Mullins Auctioneers boys high school basketball team remained unbeaten in region 8 class 2A with a 72-28 victory over the Aynor Blue Jackets on Friday night in Aynor. Mullins led nearly wire-to-wire and built a 30 point halftime lead. Trevor Dantzler scored 14 points for the Auctioneers in the blowout victory. Mullins improves to a record of 13-2 under head coach Mark Gerald. Mullins will host arch-rival Marion next Tuesday night.
The Creek Bridge Warriors boys have moved into a tie for first place with Carvers Bay in region 8 class 1A. Creek Bridge defeated Latta 70-55 in Marion on Friday night. Vic Williams led the Warriors with 20 points. Rakeem Williams and Charles Green added 19 apiece. Creek Bridge and Carvers Bay both have 4-1 region records. The Warrriors will play at Carvers Bay next Tuesday.
